It was an exciting opportunity and a chance to expand on 15 years of mortgage origination and management experience that lead Russ Schreier to open a unique mortgage company which would specialize in cross border mortgage loans for US and Canadian citizens on Mexico real estate.
On a trip to purchase a second home in Baja with his family, it was apparent that the Mexico real estate market was flourishing. However, the financing for US citizens was not available with the traditional loan terms and conditions that US borrowers were accustomed.
Determined that a viable and economical product could be created for American and Canadian consumers, Russ called colleagues at the largest international wholesale banking institutions to bring together a much-needed financing option for both purchasers and developers in Mexico. The result of his vision, enthusiasm and perseverance was the creation of the now available mortgage loans for US citizens purchasing in Mexico, using traditional financing terms and conditions that US citizens are familiar and comfortable.
As the product was being developed, a good friend and associate, Christian Alvarez, who has extensive business experience in Mexico and expertise in the American home mortgage industry, showed enthusiasm to participate in the vision as well. When Christian learned of Russ's idea to create a new company that would allow North Americans to purchase real estate in Mexico with American financing, he jumped on board to become VP of Sales.
Together the founders of Finance North America have over 25 years of experience in the mortgage industry and are the "pioneers" of this new preferred financial product.
